A couple of years ago I got really ill, it was due to my autoimmune condition. It took me two months to recover and I literally had no energy. The two things that helped me get through was smoothies and veggie juice together with some supplements. I probably lived on smoothies for about two months. It’s where my love for smoothies began. But then I had too much of it and I just couldn’t deal with having anymore for a few months.
However, I got back into smoothies and I simply love it. They are also so quick and easy to make. For this Berry Smoothie Bowl you add berries, banana, yogurt and milk to a blender. Blend it all together. Add some to a bowl, sprinkle some granola over with more fruit, some nuts, coconut or anything you prefer and you have breakfast. And doesn’t it look so pretty too.
I always have frozen berries in my freezer and other fruit too so when I need a smoothie it’s quick and easy. We try not to add too much sugar to our breakfast so I always add a little honey if I really feel the need for some sweetness. I added some honey to this but sometimes the banana adds enough sweetness so you may not require any additional sweetening. There are lots of different smoothie bowls and I as make the different ones I will share them with you. These are really great in Summer, so cool and refreshing.
