Fudgy Brownie Recipe

I did create a few Brownie recipes in the past but they never worked out the way I wanted them to. This Fudgy Brownie Recipe is definitely a keeper. It is somewhere in between a cake and a brownie with a crackly top. Just the way I love them. Like most bakes the key is to not over mix the batter, unless specifically requested in a recipe. Can a brownie have too much chocolate, I don’t think so. I added some cocoa and chocolate chips to make it extra chocolatey. Brownies are also not meant to be baked until a toothpick comes out clean. It has to be baked and removed just before it’s fully cooked. This is where you get that gooey texture. I tried to create my recipe by keeping it similar to my Chocolate Sheet Cake that I make but I still felt it wasn’t perfect. This time I tried a technique that I saw on Bigger Bolder Baking and it worked amazingly well. With just a few changes it made the perfect Brownies. These Brownies can be whipped up in just a few minutes and I promise it will be eaten just as quick…Lol! You can chop up a slab of chocolate and add chunks of chocolate to the batter or you can scatter it on top before baking.

How to make the Brownies

It is a simple process. I beat the eggs and sugar until light and airy.  The chocolate and butter was melted in the microwave, easy peasy. Stovetop is too much effort for me. All the ingredients are gently folded together and you have the perfect brownie batter. Again remember never over mix the batter. I know you probably hear this often but it does ring true for most recipes.

Ingredients Required

If you have been following me for a while you will know I always prefer using ingredients found in your pantry. I am that humble cook and I want everyone to be able to use my recipes. Sometimes I will use more luxury ingredients but often I don’t. Therefore for this recipe I stuck to light brown sugar. I think most people will have this at hand. Brown sugar gives the brownies that extra chewiness but you can use white sugar if you must. I have used white sugar in the past and it was fine. Sometimes you don’t want a perfect scientifically proven bake, you just want a treat that tastes good. Whilst I believe baking is a science remember our mothers in the good old days didn’t use science, only love. I want baking and cooking to be fun and not a tedious task. Personally I think for a home cook some recipes are just too technical with far too much going on. Unless I am looking to be a gourmet chef I really don’t have the time to read a whole essay before baking. So if you are like me you have come to the right place. Where recipes are simple and fun.

Hope you love this recipe as much as we do. If you do try it please drop me a comment and a star rating it is always appreciated. More Recipes to try: Chocolate Chip Cookies Decadent No Bake Chocolate Cheesecake Eggless Chocolate Cookies If you loved this, please share!
