Isn’t it funny how the simplest of things can bring us joy. Whilst some may need diamonds and pearls I just need a bowl of ice-cream.
No Churn Mango Turmeric Ice Cream
It’s been a trying couple of days. I have realised just how short life is and from today I have made a conscious decision to forgive people a little sooner than I normally do. Even though they may bring pain it’s no point holding on to grudges. I am usually a very forgiving person and when people hurt me often I still go back to them and make peace. However, over the last year I realised I am the one that constantly goes back to people after they’ve hurt me. It’s never the other way around. The reason I did that was because I never wanted anyone to hate me or dislike me. But right now I am at an age where I don’t really care whether I am loved or hated. Sometimes I wish I was built differently. I wasn’t so sensitive and I could be as hard as some of the people in this world. But I am me and after almost 50 years nothing is going to change. Can’t believe I am actually saying 50, that’s me in a few days. All I can say is I am thankful and grateful to be alive right now. Let me get to my No Churn Mango Turmeric Ice Cream Recipe This is an easy No-Churn Mango Ice-Cream. It takes a few minutes to put together and you have the most delicious ice-cream. I absolutely love mangoes, it is one of my favorite fruit. We literally have mangoes in our kitchen from the start of the season until the very end.
How do I make this No Churn Mango Turmeric Ice Cream
For this No Churn Mango-Turmeric Ice Cream you literally blend the mangoes, whip some cream. Mix it all together with condensed milk and turmeric and freeze. The best thing about this recipe is that it doesn’t need to be churned. I don’t even own an ice-cream machine so this works for me. I prefer to freeze mine overnight for best results. This ice-cream is super delicious. Well, only if you’re a mango lover. Some people add food colouring to the ice-cream for a bright yellow colouring. I added superfood turmeric instead. Besides the colour turmeric has a whole lot of healing properties too which is perfect for the times we’re living in right now. The best mangoes for ice-cream You really don’t want stringy mangoes for an ice-cream. Trust me. Even if you blend them you will still find bit and pieces of string in your ice-cream and that’s not very pleasant. The ideal mango will be football-shaped. It will be full, plump and rounded, especially around the stem. It’s the flat, thin mangoes that are more than likely to be stringy. I simply love this No Churn Mango Turmeric Ice-cream and if I could I would eat it everday. Mangoes is my absolute favorite fruit to eat and I am going to make the most of it before the season ends. Hope you love this ice-cream as much as we do. If you try the recipe please drop me a comment and star rating, it is always appreciated.
