There are so many people that are out there that don’t even know where their next plate of food will come from. So yes I moan about stuff sometimes, I am human but I am very blessed and thankful for all that I have. I have been blogging for just over a year. I am no perfect cook, I learn through trial and error. Somedays I want to throw in the towel because it can be so frustrating. But thanks to all of you I have kept going. You have all been so supportive, so forgiving when I make mistakes and most of all embraced me and trusted me enough to try my recipes. Your support means the world to me. Thank you to those that have believed in me and nudged me on even on the days I wanted to give up. Thank you also to those that actually take the time to send me an email or drop me a note, I appreciate every little feedback I receive from you all. The blogging world can be a lonely place and your acknowledgement is so reassuring and comforting. I wish you all a blessed Christmas and a wonderful year ahead, filled with laughter and happiness.
Today I am sharing with you a recipe for Panettone French Toast. It is so mouthwatering, I couldn’t wait to gobble it all down whilst making them. I never knew what Panettone was until I met my Italian friends. It is a delicious Italian cake-like sweet bread that’s mostly sold at Christmas time. Every year I receive some from my friends. It is a huge bread so I have to think of ideas as to how to use them all up. I love it with a light spread of butter but I also like to find a little more creative ways to eat it. This Panettone French Toast is a very simple recipe. It takes a few minutes to cook, drizzle some maple syrup on top and if you feeling indulgent add a blob of cream and you’re in heaven. There’s not much to this recipe other than dipping it in the custard and toasting it in butter.
